The Chester County Fire Chiefs Association proudly recognizes Chief Steve "Redman" Flegal for his exemplary leadership and dedication, recently highlighted through the successful "Breakfast on the Hill" initiative in Washington, D.C., now formally rebranded as the Steve “Redman” Flegal Legislative Program Day on the Hill.
At the State Firefighters meeting in Exton, members of the PA Career Fire Chiefs Association (PACFCA), Pennsylvania Fire and Emergency Services Institute (PFESI), and the Firefighters Association of the State of Pennsylvania (FSAP) officially announced this important recognition in honor of Chief Flegal’s longstanding commitment to legislative advocacy and the Pennsylvania fire service.
Redman continues to emphasize the critical importance of unity, often reminding us, "When we ALL work together and row in the same direction, we can go far." This philosophy, deeply influenced by the late FASP Past President Richard (Dick) Bleistine, was evident as Redman successfully coordinated and hosted this significant advocacy event in conjunction with the International Association of Fire Chiefs Eastern Division and the PA Career Fire Chiefs Association. Dick Bleistine's legacy remains vibrant, guiding Redman and inspiring many within our Association.
Thanks to the unwavering support of our current officers who understand and value the importance of maintaining a visible presence in Washington, D.C., this initiative was a remarkable success. Attendees included numerous influential leaders committed to the fire service community, demonstrating solidarity and purpose.
Redman's message remains clear: Achievements like these are never solo efforts. It truly "takes a village," and through teamwork and continued dedication, the Chester County Fire Chiefs Association remains strong and influential.
Together, we will continue rowing forward. Thank you, Chief Flegal, for your dedication to the Pennsylvania fire service! |
